Products requiring a food-grade quality are produced in a dedicated fermentation and downstream processing area.

The BPF plant has a separate food grade area dedicated to food testing, where companies and institutes can do their pilot projects to validate their technology or to produce material for market validation. Built according to the food regulations and standards the area allows personnel to process products while adhering to strict food safety protocols.

BPF has gained the FSSC 22000 food-grade certificate and has been enlisted on the FSSC 22000 website.
